Dion Drena Beljo names Leeds United as one of favourite teams in January transfer news
Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has revealed on Twitter that highly-rated forward Dion Drena Beljo has love for Leeds United.
The forward is looking to make a move from the Croatian outfit Osijek in the January transfer window and his latest admission could be a cry for Leeds to come and sign him.
Beljo confessed to journalist Plettenberg that Leeds United are one of his two favourite teams in England, alongside Newcastle United.
The 20 y/o striker is ready for the next step. Transfer in winter possible. Osijek demands €6m,” announced Plettenberg on Twitter.
“Favourite team in England? Newcastle United. I also like Leeds United.“
Beljo background.
The towering forward stands at 6’3 and his footballing style strikes an uncanny resemblance to Juventus hot shot Dušan Vlahović.

In 19 appearances this campaign, the forward has found the back of the net on nine occasions, whilst also providing two assists. Now, whilst his Leeds United love admission is nice, Beljo is far from the player that the Whites need here and now.
He’s unproven in any of Europe’s top five leagues and this is something he needs to pave his way into doing before Leeds should even consider a move.
The Whites haven’t even been linked to Beljo just yet, so there is no suggestion that they would make a move anyway, this just seems like the Croat trying to raise some eyebrows.
Nevertheless, if his love for Leeds United is as potent as Plettenberg suggests a move in the future could definitely be on the cards once he’s proved himself in a league with better standards.
