Antonio Conte completed the signing of Yves Bissouma towards the end of June after looking out for a perfect Midfield dynasty.
Richarlison joined Tottenham on a five-year, £60 million agreement on Friday, becoming the club’s fourth summer addition. This happened not long after Spurs revealed they had acquired Yves Bissouma from Brighton.
The Lilywhites may yet want to bolster their potent midfield foursome, though Harry Winks appears certain to go this summer. In the centre midfield positions, Antonio Conte still has room for improvement in terms of creativity and offensive flair.

A few months back, John McGinn was mentioned in reports as a potential transfer target for Tottenham, and the 27-year-name old’s has since come up again. Last season, McGinn played in 35 Premier League games, tallying three goals and four assists.
The Aston Villa player’s primary position is in the centre midfield, although during the 2021–2022 season, he also made a handful of appearances in the right midfield and in a little more defensive role.

The Scottish international has received high acclaim from his manager, Steven Gerrard, and has previously been likened to Rafael van der Vaart.
“John McGinn is one of the best individuals you can find. He has a tremendously contagious personality and is terrific for the team both on and off the field, and I’ve been in this game for an awfully long time. John holds everything positive about Aston Villa together “Earlier this year, Gerrard stated.
Alan Hutton, a former defender for both Aston Villa and Tottenham, has explained why he thinks McGinn would be a valuable addition to Conte’s team despite his uncertainty over whether the transfer would really take place. “Will Tottenham be the final stop? Hutton said to Football Insider, “I’m not so sure.
I find it challenging because Villa is so near to me; I don’t want to see him leave, but I am aware of his talent and potential. They definitely need a number eight who can go up and down the field, in my opinion.

Bissouma is more defensive but can do it to a point. The issue, in my opinion, is that Tottenham’s alternatives right now are all highly defensive.
“They probably need one thing more than anything else, and that is someone who can help, move things along, and make things happen. McGinn can do that, he fits the bill, and he plays more forward.”
According to Birmingham Live, Boubacar Kamara’s acquisition by Villa will put the 27-year-old in a race for his starting position. While competition is healthy for a squad, it may force Gerrard and McGinn to decide on the player’s future.
The midfielder, who has previously discussed his aspirations, possesses a variety of skills that might enable him to fit into Conte’s side and possibly form a midfield partnership with Bissouma.
A player who is ready to put in the necessary effort, compete for a spot on the squad, and provide the Italian more offensive skills than he now posses might all help the transfer succeed.
McGinn still has a few years remaining on his contract, but CIES estimates that his current market worth is up to £34.5 million, so a transfer would be expensive.
The 27-year-old may not be at the top of the list of midfielders Tottenham supporters want to see and may not have been as frequently mentioned as some other names, but if he turns out to be a player Conte feels may improve his squad, would the transfer be a success?
