Fabio Paratici not joking with transfer as he makes Spanish hey player a major target even if the club finally get the deal for Lenglet after much submitted deals.
While Clement Lenglet’s transfer to Barcelona was still being worked on behind the scenes, Tottenham Hotspur revealed last week that Richarlison had joined them on a five-year agreement from Everton for £60 million with add-ons.
According to sources in Spain, the Frenchman, who is expected to become the team’s sixth acquisition of the transfer window, travelled into London over the weekend to undertake his physical before joining on a season-long loan from the La Liga giants.

Lenglet fills the need in Antonio Conte’s defence for a left-footed centre back, but the Italian is still searching for more and is still eager to complete a deal for Pau Torres of Villarreal.

Lenglet will join after spending the previous four years at Barcelona, and his agreement is anticipated to be finalised very soon. The Frenchman’s €35 million release clause from Sevilla was activated by the Catalan club in July 2018, and since then, he has made 160 appearances across all competitions, scored seven goals, and helped the team win three championships.
Lenglet, who started just seven La Liga games last year, is no longer needed and will try to recreate himself in north London this year. He also plans to try to make France’s team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar later this year.

After having to use Ben Davies in that position last season as part of his preferred back-three formation, Conte was eager to add a left-footed centre back this summer.
Lenglet is now poised to fill that need as the Italian manager continues his outstanding reconstruction in preparation for the 2022–23 season.
Despite having signed a contract for Clement Lenglet, Tottenham might yet pursue a move for Pau Torres of Villarreal.
Tottenham has been connected with a bid for Torres, who has been on their radar for the whole of the summer transfer window following his successful season with Villarreal, but Conte’s aspirations to enhance his centre back options this summer don’t appear to end there.
Last season, Torres played 47 times for Unai Emery’s team as they finished seventh in La Liga and had an incredible run to the UEFA Champions League semifinals. Torres was praised in particular for his leadership and commanding performances at the back.

With the Daily Mail stating last month that Torres had moved to the top of their defensive shopping list after they were unable to get Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni, Spurs may still be expecting to bring such traits to north London this summer.
Giovani Lo Celso, who excelled with the Yellow Submarine during his loan stint in the second part of last season, appeared like a possible candidate for a swap move, although nothing has yet beentaken up between either club. Either way, Torres is expected to cost around £45m.
But Manchester United will be a fierce rival for the 25-year-old, and as things stand, the Red Devils appear to be moving to sign him. Alex Telles, who had a fight at the training facility in May, is reportedly poised to leave this summer. United may think about include him in a trade to get Torres.
While Lenglet is expected to arrive at Spurs and United are giving Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez priority, both teams are still interested in signing Torres.
However, given Tottenham’s protracted interest in the player, it wouldn’t be unexpected to see them reevaluate the possibility of a transfer this summer..
