TOTTENHAM News: Gollini & 13 other players confirm leaving ahead of 2022/23 season
Pierluigi Gollini has returned to Atalanta after completing his loan stay with the club, in which he made 10 appearances.
The goalkeeper was a popular part of the team, and his loan arrangement might have became permanent if he had made 20 appearances for Spurs or if they had paid a £12.9 million option inside his loan agreement.
Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster is poised to join Tottenham on a free transfer later this month to take over as Hugo Lloris’ understudy from Gollini.
Following the expiration of their contracts, J’Neil Bennett, Kacper Kurylowicz, Dermi Lusala, Thimothee Lo-Tutala, Josh Oluwayemi, Tobi Omole, and Isak Solberg will leave the Spurs development team.
Last season, Omole was a regular member of the first team squad in training sessions, and he was on the bench in the Premier League once against Crystal Palace and twice in the Europa Conference League.
Bennett went one step farther in the qualification stages of the latter competition, clocking nine minutes for the first team.
With Kurylowicz, Lo-Tutala, Oluwayemi, and Isak Solberg all having their contracts expire, the club will undoubtedly lose a number of goalkeepers.
Following the completion of their scholarships, a number of U18 players have departed the club, including Jez Davies, Jordan Hackett, Khalon Haysman, Renaldo Torraj, and Oliver Turner.
