Newcastle United are interested in signing 29-year-old Argentine World Cup winner Paulo Dybala ahead of next season.

According to Calciomercatoweb, Newcastle United want to sign Paulo Dybala. The 29-year-old has revived himself while playing for AS Roma in the ongoing season. And, his performances have resulted in a lot of attention from across Europe. Meanwhile, the Magpies are ready to push for his services.

Dybala was considered among the best playmakers back in the day. But, the last few seasons had not gone according to plan for the 29-year-old at Juventus. His contract at the Allianz Stadium ended ahead of the ongoing season, and he decided to sign for AS Roma.

While signing for Jose Mourinho’s team as a free agent, his entourage ensured to include a release clause in his contract. And, according to the reports, the exit clause is worth just €12 million. As a result, a lot of clubs are interested in the Argentine international.

Dybala has been involved in 32 matches in the ongoing season and has 23 goal contributions to his name. He has found the back of the net on 15 occasions and also has eight assists while playing for Mourinho’s team. He is back at his best, and the interest in his services is quite understandable. Meanwhile, Newcastle United are one of the clubs that are very serious about the 29-year-old.

The Magpies have done great transfer business post their takeover and are currently pushing for a Champions League. They are fourth in the league and have a three-point advantage as well as a game in hand over fifth-placed Tottenham.

If they do manage to qualify for the Champions League, the Magpies could easily convince Dybala to join their ranks. Eddie Howe is looking to strengthen his squad ahead of next season as he looks to take the next step of this ambitious project at hand.

Newcastle will welcome someone with the quality of Dybala, he will surely bolster their attack. And, increase their chances of winning a major title next season. The Magpies have the financial aid to present him with his desired wages and if the player is willing to move, Newcastle could a great option for him. But, they will have to fight it out with other potential buyers.

Meanwhile, Roma will try their best to keep the Argentine international in their ranks. But, they will have to ensure they qualify for the Champions League to stand a chance. As a result, it will be interesting to see where the 29-year-old World Cup winner will be playing his football next season.
