West Ham United are planning to raise funds for transfers through a fire sale of players in the January transfer window, according to Claret and Hugh.
Arthur Masuaku, Darren Randolph, Manu Lanzini, Harrison Ashby and potentially Ben Johnson are in the firing line of the squad overhaul for the Hammers.
Claret and Hugh confessed that the club will raise funds for future transfers via a “fire sale” in January in a cut-throat decision to overhaul dead weight.
“West Ham will be looking to raise funds via fire sale at the club this January,” as quoted by Claret and Hugh.
“The big hope is that Arthur Masuaku will be fit to return to the Beskitas side and that a £13 million deal can be completed early.

“Darren Randolph – who has played 45 minutes in the last season and a half is also available at a knockdown £1 million.
“Had we not so many defensive issues which remain unresolved – Aguerd and Zouma – a question mark would be hanging over Ben Johnson where no new contract agreement is in sight despite him being out of contract in the summer.
“Harrison Ashby too looks to be on his way of course to Newcastle whilst Manu Lanzini is another for whom offers would be entertained given he is in his 30th year and has a year left on his current deal.”
Good move
Squad overhauls are usually a good idea and a tried and tested method of gaining some transfer funds to reinvent the team.
Arthur Masuaku, Darren Randolph, Manu Lanzini and Harrison Ashby aren’t adding anything to the current Irons first XI so ousting them is a good move.
West Ham United are in a better position now than they’ve ever been to attract new talents to the club, regardless of the team’s current Premier League position.
The summer acquisitions of Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca highlight this and prove the club can make bids for better players now and moving forward.
The club can also expect a hefty fee for Declan Rice in the summer, with the midfielder likely to leave the London Stadium in search of UEFA Champions League football.
This is something that needs to be taken into account when selling other midfielders, but likely won’t change the club’s stance on the players listed above.
